With the end of 2014 almost upon us I thought I should give you all an update on where I’m at with the sequel to The Jewel of Kamara. I have written two different versions of The Thief of Lenora this year and haven’t been happy with either so I’ve gone back to the drawing board and started again. So far this new version is working a lot better and I’m working towards a 2015 release.
In between drafts of Lenora I tried my hand at writing a contemporary Young Adult (working title of A Distant Voice). It’s a coming of age novel that follows a girl sent to live with her grandmother, a faded country music star. I have a first draft done and will drag it out of the drawer I’ve filed it away in once I’ve completed this draft of Lenora. I’m probably being a little overambitious to aim for a release date of 2015 for A Distant Voice also but I’ll pencil it in. Hey, who needs sleep, right?
I’ll keep you updated with my progress on both works but while you wait for the sequel, I’ll try to keep you entertained with posts about Kamara.
Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas and New Year!
